Data protection


The operators of these pages (e.g. ambia.app, ambia.world) and the Ambia app (hereinafter "Service") take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.


It is generally possible to use our services without providing personal data. If personal data (e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses or GPS positions) is collected on our services, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.


We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) and data input on mobile devices (e.g. the use of third-party software keyboards or screen recording apps) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. The data for the service is hosted in Germany (game data, metadata, rankings and logbooks: Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) and in the USA (newsletter dispatch: Mailchimp, The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000 Atlanta, Georgia 30308, USA), registered with the Privacy Shield program.


The service does not carry out profiling.

How and why we process data

The service stores the following data to enable exciting gaming experiences:

  • Creation date

  • Previous playing time

  • Country

  • language

  • Number of points

  • Progress in Weekly Challenges

  • Played modes, puzzles and quizzes (also called savegame)

  • News read


For different game modes:

  • the game position in real time

  • A nickname (player nickname)


For competition entries and support communication:

  • E-mail


In order to offer you matches against other players and to improve the game, the service stores the following data:

  • All matches played

  • Opponents of the matches

  • Final score of the matches

  • Experience points

  • Level

  • Game items collected

  • Game items created

  • Friends added by the player

  • Friend requests


Storing and analyzing this data allows us to provide a service that gets better and better. Without this data we would not be able to offer the service in this way. Your data is only used to improve the user experience of our service and therefore our service as a whole.

Cookies

Some of the services use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our service more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the service, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.


You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.

Matomo

This service uses the open source web analysis service Matomo (formerly known as Piwik). Matomo uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the service to be analyzed. For this purpose, the information generated by the cookie about the use of this service is stored on our server. The IP address is anonymized before it is saved (2 bytes of the IP address, e.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx, are saved).


The information generated by the cookie about the use of this service is not passed on to third parties. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this service.


If you do not agree to the storage and use of your data, you can deactivate the storage and use here. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser that prevents Matomo from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. YouTube

Our website uses plugins from YouTube, which is operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited.

Comment function

For the comment function for this service, in addition to your comment, information about the time the comment was created, your e-mail address and, if you are not posting anonymously, the user name you have chosen will be stored.


Our comment function stores the IP addresses of users who post comments. As we do not check comments on our service before they are activated, we need this data in order to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal violations such as insults or propaganda.


As a user of the service, you can subscribe to comments after registering. You will receive a confirmation email to check whether you are the owner of the email address provided. You can unsubscribe from this function at any time via a link in the info mails.

SSL encryption

This service uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us as the operator. Right to information, deletion, blocking
